What this covers

How we collect, use, and protect personal information for visitors to this site and registered users of Retire With Time.

Information we collect

  • Account information you provide when you create an account: your name and email address.
  • Retirement-planning inputs you enter to build a projection - your accounts and balances, income and spending, and profile. We use these only to compute and show the plan you asked for.
  • Usage and device data - standard log data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) collected to operate and secure the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not buy, rent, or use purchased or cold contact lists.

How we use email

We send transactional and relationship email only - email-address verification, password reset, sign-in and security alerts, and receipts, confirmations, and service or account notifications tied to your account. These are essential service communications, not marketing: we do not run marketing campaigns and do not add you to any bulk mailing list. We send through Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services). If a message bounces or you mark it as spam, your address is automatically suppressed and we stop sending to it. Contact [email protected] to stop non-essential messages, or close your account to stop all messages.

How we protect information

Data is transmitted over TLS and sensitive information is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to personnel who need it, and we retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Third parties

We use service providers strictly to operate the service - for example, Amazon Web Services for hosting and email, and Cloudflare for DNS and content delivery. They process data only on our behalf.

Children

Retire With Time is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
